Janet McTeer born 8 May 1961, is an English actress. McTeer was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the daughter of Jean "Née Morris" and Alan McTeer.

She was up for the Oscar Awards 2012 for "Best Actress In a Supporting Role" for her role in "Albert Nobbs".

As we know the 84th Annual Academy Awards held at the Hollywood and Highland Center, California, USA, 26 February 2012. Unfortunately she didnt won the Oscar for her Nomination.
